Our Story
Glen Prince is a British family owned and run fashion brand based in Somerset, United Kingdom.
Our Fibres
Glen Prince selects the finest natural fibres to create exceptional scarves, designed to last and to be passed down through generations.
Our cashmere scarves are among the most precious pieces in our collections. Renowned for its incomparable softness, lightness and enveloping warmth, our cashmere — sourced from the delicate undercoat of cashmere goats — lends each scarf timeless elegance and absolute comfort.
Our wool scarves, particularly those crafted from lambswool taken from the first shearing, are distinguished by their silky finesse and natural insulation. The gently crimped fibre traps air for optimal warmth, making it ideal for our tartan scarves, emblematic of Scottish heritage.

Traditional Craftsmanship
Our house is rooted in the purest Scottish textile tradition, heir to expertise passed down through generations. The making of our Scottish scarves — whether in cashmere, wool or iconic tartan — involves nearly thirty meticulous steps, transforming the finest raw materials into exceptional pieces.
From dyeing and weaving to carding, knitting, drying and cutting, every stage is carried out with absolute precision and deep respect for artisanal techniques. This rigorous process ensures luxury scarves that are refined, durable and of remarkable quality.
Faithful to this heritage, Glen Prince upholds the highest production standards to create timeless designs made to transcend seasons and accompany our clients throughout a lifetime.
British Design & Elegance
Each Glen Prince collection expresses the subtle balance between British Heritage and Modern Attitude. From Somerset, our family‑owned British house founded in 1990 develops luxury scarves and stoles where English elegance meets a distinctly contemporary fashion sensibility.
Led by a passionate team of designers, each collection reinterprets the iconic codes of the British wardrobe — clan tartans, tweed, Prince of Wales check, herringbone — giving rise to tartan scarves, cashmere scarves and wool scarves that are both timeless and current.
Constant trend awareness and an uncompromising attention to detail sustain an ongoing creative process, enabling Glen Prince to offer unique designs crafted from exceptional natural fibres and conceived as signature pieces. A discreet and authentic form of luxury, where heritage is expressed through contemporary reinterpretation.
Our Origins
Glen Prince was born from the vision of Mark Lovell, founder and creative spirit of the house. Following a rich journey between Paris and the international scene — from the wine trade to the world of textiles and ready‑to‑wear — he developed a discerning understanding of product, style and market dynamics.
In 1990, alongside his father Paul Lovell, he founded Glen Prince with the ambition of creating an independent British brand, deeply rooted in Scottish textile heritage and guided by a lasting commitment to quality.
An artist as well as an entrepreneur, Mark Lovell instils the house with a distinctive aesthetic sensibility, where colour, texture and composition inform every collection. A creative vision that continues to shape the identity of Glen Prince today.
